In a National Geographic article dated 20/04/2004, Richard Parkinson, an expert on ancient Egyptian poetry at the British Museum writes: “Poetry is perhaps the greatest forgotten treasure of ancient Egypt”. I like his article (see link below) with beautiful poems from Egypt and found in a site where many Pharaohs are entombed. Hope you also find it an interesting read and that, like me, you enjoy learning something about early Egyptian poetry.
